  • 24/7 Mobile Diesel Mechanics
  • Emergency Highway Roadside Assistance
  • Commercial Fleet Preventive Maintenance
  • DOT & FMCSA Safety Inspections
  • Computer ECM Diagnostics & Electrical
  • Brake Chambers, Air Lines & S-Cams
  • DEF, DPF, EGR & Exhaust Aftertreatment
  • Transmissions, Clutches & Drivelines
  • Heavy Trailer, Axle & Reefer Repairs
  • Commercial Truck Parts Distribution

Dispatch Timelines & ETAs:

All estimated arrival times (ETAs) provided by our dispatch team are estimates made in good faith based on prevailing traffic, weather, mobile mechanic availability, and highway incidents throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

X Truck Repair cannot guarantee exact arrival times due to unforeseen transit obstacles, extreme weather, highway closures, or remote breakdown coordinates.

Cancellation Policy:

Once a mobile technician is dispatched, the customer is responsible for the standard mobile service call-out fee and travel charges. If a cancellation is requested after a technician has rolled out or is en route, the customer will be billed for the full mobile service call charge.

04. Work Authorization & Vehicle Access

By requesting service or approving a work order (whether verbally via dispatch recording, via text message, electronically via Shopmonkey/email, or in writing), you grant X Truck Repair and our technicians full authorization to:

  1. Perform all necessary diagnostic testing, teardowns, calibrations, and mechanical repairs on the designated vehicle and trailer.
  2. Operate the vehicle on public streets, highways, or private lots for the purpose of testing, diagnosing, verifying repairs, or road-testing commercial compliance.
  3. Access the cab, engine bay, trailer, and electronic control modules (ECM) as required to perform requested services.

The customer or an authorized driver must be present at the breakdown site or provide explicit instructions regarding key location and property access. The vehicle must be situated in a location where technicians can legally and safely perform repairs.

05. Diagnostics & Estimate Revisions

Initial quotes or verbal figures provided over the phone prior to physical inspection are rough estimates based solely on the symptoms described by the customer.

Heavy-duty diesel engines and commercial chassis systems often possess concealed, secondary, or cascading mechanical failures. Upon physical inspection and computer hookup:

  • If diagnostic analysis confirms that additional parts, labor hours, or specialized equipment are required beyond the original estimate, X Truck Repair will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer or fleet coordinator for verbal or written authorization before completing supplemental work.
  • Diagnostic fees are separate from repair labor fees and are fully billable regardless of whether the customer chooses to proceed with recommended repairs.

06. Rates, Call-Out Fees & Overtime

Services are billed according to X Truck Repair’s prevailing commercial rate schedule at the time of service:

Standard Shop Labor

Billed per labor hour or industry standard flat-rate guide (Motor/Mitchell) for in-bay services performed at our Wilmer repair facility.

Mobile Service Call

Includes a baseline mobile dispatch / service truck fee plus hourly on-site labor. Additional mileage charges may apply for long-distance calls outside standard DFW zones.

Emergency & After-Hours

Services requested between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM, on weekends, or on major federal holidays are subject to after-hours emergency labor surcharges.

Environmental & Shop Supplies

Disposal fees for hazardous fluids (engine oils, coolant, DEF, transmission fluid, battery cores) and essential consumable shop supplies are itemized on invoices.

07. Payment Terms & Fleet Billing

Unless an active, credit-approved Commercial Fleet Agreement has been executed in writing between X Truck Repair and the carrier, full payment is due immediately upon completion of services before the vehicle or keys are released to the driver.

Accepted Forms of Payment:

  • Major Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Authorized Fleet Checks (Comchex, EFS, T-Chek, Fleet One)
  • Electronic Funds Transfer / ACH (pre-approved accounts only)
  • Direct corporate credit terms (subject to formal credit application and Net-15 or Net-30 agreements)

Pre-Authorization Holds: For mobile roadside dispatches, X Truck Repair reserves the right to obtain a credit card authorization hold equal to the estimated call-out and initial diagnostic labor prior to deploying a technician.

Past due balances will accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) or the maximum statutory rate allowable under Texas law. The customer shall be liable for all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs.

08. Texas Mechanic’s Lien Rights

STATUTORY NOTICE UNDER TEXAS PROPERTY CODE CHAPTER 70:

Pursuant to Texas Property Code Chapter 70 (Worker’s, Laborer’s, and Materialman’s Lien on Personal Property), X Truck Repair possesses a statutory possessory lien on all motor vehicles, semi trucks, trailers, equipment, and personal property serviced by our technicians to secure payment for labor, parts, diagnostics, towing, and storage.

In the event of non-payment or disputed payment, X Truck Repair reserves the absolute right under Texas law to retain physical possession of the vehicle and equipment until all charges are paid in full.

Storage Fees: Any vehicle left at our facility for more than 48 hours following notification of repair completion or unresponsiveness by the customer shall accrue storage fees at our standard daily commercial rate (minimum $100.00/day for tractor or trailer). Continued non-payment will result in statutory notice and public sale of the vehicle in accordance with Texas lien foreclosure procedures.

09. Customer Duties & Roadside Safety

Highway roadside repairs involve significant hazards for both technicians and drivers. To safeguard lives and equipment, customer and driver agree to the following safety protocols:

  • Safe Vehicle Staging: Position the commercial vehicle as far onto the right shoulder, weigh station, or rest area as possible, away from active traffic lanes.
  • Emergency Warning Devices: Immediately activate vehicle hazard flashers and deploy reflective emergency triangles or flares in compliance with FMCSA 49 CFR § 392.22.
  • Hazardous Materials Notification: Immediately notify dispatch if the vehicle or trailer carries hazardous materials (HazMat / placards), pressurized gas, or volatile cargo.
  • Driver Conduct: Drivers must remain awake, cooperative, sober, and seated in a safe location outside of the immediate mechanical work zone during live repairs.
  • Interference Prohibition: Neither the driver nor any third party may attempt repairs, climb under the vehicle, or operate controls while our technicians are actively working.

10. Workmanship Guarantee & Parts Warranty

Workmanship Guarantee:

X Truck Repair warrants our labor against defects in craftsmanship for a period of thirty (30) days or 3,000 miles (whichever occurs first) from the date the service was completed. If a defect in our workmanship arises within this warranty window, we will re-inspect and correct the defect at no additional labor cost.

Parts Warranties:

All new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket parts installed by X Truck Repair carry the warranties offered by their respective manufacturers. X Truck Repair passes these warranties through to the customer but does not independently warrant manufactured parts.

Warranty Exclusions:

This warranty does NOT apply to:

  • Customer-supplied parts or used/salvaged parts installed at the customer’s request.
  • Failures resulting from driver abuse, lack of routine lubrication/oil levels, collision, or off-road operation.
  • Temporary emergency roadside patches requested by driver to reach the next terminal (e.g. temporary air-line bypass).
  • Normal wear and tear items including brake pads, wiper blades, tires, and filters.
  • Vehicles subsequently altered, serviced, or repaired by another facility or mechanic without prior written approval from X Truck Repair.

11. Limitation of Liability & Cargo Spoilage

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL X TRUCK REPAIR LLC, ITS OFFICERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, TECHNICIANS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Cargo Loss & Spoilage: Any loss, contamination, temperature abuse, or spoilage of perishable, frozen, or dry freight, whether caused by reefer unit failures, transit delays, or diagnostic testing.
  • Consequential & Lost Profits: Loss of commercial freight revenue, shipper detention fees, late-delivery penalties, driver layover compensation, hotel accommodations, or lost business opportunity.
  • Pre-existing Damage: Structural frame fatigue, wiring harness rot, corrosion, or hidden component deterioration that existed prior to repair.

IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF X TRUCK REPAIR LLC ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY SERVICE SHALL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. SMS & Communications Consent (TCPA)

By providing your mobile telephone number when requesting service, dispatch assistance, or an online quote, you expressly consent to receive communications from X Truck Repair via phone call and text message (SMS / MMS), including automated dispatch alerts.

13. Third-Party Towing & Subcontractors

If on-site mobile repair is impossible due to catastrophic mechanical breakdown or safety considerations, X Truck Repair may coordinate with independent heavy-duty towing services at the customer’s request.

Independent towing companies operate as independent contractors. X Truck Repair assumes no liability for damages incurred during rigging, winch-out, lifting, or transit conducted by third-party towing providers.
